High Street Shops Re-Branding

THEY LOOK ALL THE SAME

After going around our local shopping mall a few weeks ago I kept thinking I was walking past the same shop. It seems a lot of high street shops re-branding have now decided to re-brand to pretty much the same use of colour and style.

The colours for this season are obviously black and white and in terms of style it seems the majority are going with an upper case look however it is usually a smaller type face in comparison to the size of the shop sign. Over the past couple of weeks I have noticed another 3 large high street name shops changing their brand to incorporate some parts of the styles which the below companies have chosen.

Can the designers producing these brands come from the same agency or are all designs conforming to a certain style this summer/autumn?

Now, not only have these high street names all decided to re-brand pretty much the same, they haven’t even bothered to change the style of their websites to follow their re-brand?? I shouldn’t get so all high and mighty, I certainly didn’t get so argumentative when people started using “Web 2.0” reflective logos everywhere or the wooden backgrounds. It may be that because I regularly walk through that shopping mall, I see them more than other things but come on each of those brands are nearly the same.

Have you noticed a growing trend in the high street?
